His second film ‘Kaithi’ (2019) starring Karthi, gained a separate fan base for his unique storytelling and exceptional directorial skills. With his distinct visual style and innovative approach to filmmaking, Lokesh has quickly gained recognition and praise from both critics and audiences alike.

Following the success of Kaithi, he went on to make the action-drama film, Master, starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of 2021.
